Land of the free home of the brave
Was attacked one September day
From out of nowhere planes turned to bombs
Destroying icons known to all
First one and then another soared low and direct
Into the Twins towering above
Flame and smoke shot out from these Twins
While ash showered down on the world below
Screams of terror rang out through the air
As those in the Twins jumped to escape
Panic ensued as the towers exploded
People fled through a shroud of smoke
Not far away another plane torpedoed into the Pentagon
Shaking it as smoke filled the air
Those inside rushed to escape
Yet stopped to help their brothers in arms
Amidst this terror heroism is seen
In the passengers of Flight 93
A vote was cast and democracy prevailed
In this one act, along with others
The world learned the truth
That the citizens of the United States
Would never yield to fear
